It depends upon what you want done and if there is an install meet also. I try to help out local vendors by purchasing but have my work done by myself + enthusiasts.

A friend of mine just opened up his own shop. Its in Baldwin Park. Its called Street Images. He used to be the R&D Manager at AEM and quit to open up his own shop. He does work for Hasport and Super Street.

I had Aerosim install my turboback about a week ago, Steve and Kym do great work. They are located in Costa Mesa around Harbor and Baker.
Aerosim Research Ltd.

They run a lot of specials that offer free install on particular items you buy from them.

Suby Specialties is pretty good but from what I hear it is best to take your stuff to them if you need something big done like an engine rebuild or something major installed. I just hear that it takes a long time to get an oil change or something basic because they have so much work but if you do get work from them its nothing less than flawless.

Haven't tried Dynamispeed but in his short time he has had a good customer base, he does on road tuning.

Also, Harman Motive is brand spanking new: http://www.harmanautomotive.com/

Yes, ive heard good things about aerosim as well and i totally agree that suby specialties are for more advanced work on the wrx. how is aerosim's pricing? i emailed harman about their pricing and have yet to receive a reply. Thanks for everyone's responses though, i very much appreciate it.

Aerosim's pricing is really rather good and their work is top-notch. I had them install a Uppipe/Downpipe, springs and rear sway bar a month or so back. I am going back to them for installs EGT/Oil Pressure/Boost gauges in the next couple weeks. For me knowing that it will get done correctly is worth the 60 mile drive down there from Burbank.

Calling the shop is the best way to get ahold of them. They are usually at the shop (doing installs) from Monday through Saturday from roughly lunch to midnight.

I had them do my Turboback, and I bought front and rear Sparco Mudflaps. The pricing was good so I will return to have them put on my Uppipe and maybe springs if I don't get rid of them. I agree on calling them for prices, they do a lot of specials (usually weekly) anyways so it would be hard to get a consistant price on installs and parts. Also, before buying what you want its good to check with them because they have a lot of specials that offer free install with purchase. Fortunately, they are on my way to work so its not a hassle to stop by
