suppose "impreza wrx wagon" = i and "saab" = s
we have the equation s ( 9 - 2x) = i
solving for x:
9 - 2 * x = i / s
-2 * x = (i / s) - (9 / 1)
x = [(i / s) - (9 / 1)] / (-2 / 1)
[(i / s) - (9 / 1)] / (-2 / 1) x 1
where 1 = (-1 / 2) / (-1 / 2)
(-2 / 1) cancels out
x = [(i / s) - (9 / 1)] * (-1 / 2)
=> (-i / 2s) + (9 / 2)
x = (9 / 2) - (i / 2s)
