i think it makes more sense for a lancer evo owner just to call their car an evo, imo... after they seperate the body style of a regular lancer and the evo it's a a seperate animal.. unlike the old school lancer where the body style had more in common.
honestly why would any evo owner wanna degrade themselve put their car in the same category as the US lancer

.kinda correct, the Lancer Evolution 9 doesn't share the same body features as the regular current gen. Lancer. When ever I take my car to get serviced and they ask what it is, I tell them it's a 2006 Lancer Evolution. I have always done that with every car I owned. I don't add the MR at the end, unless the ask if it's a RS or MR.
