I did end up finding a great shop here in LA county. They ported and polished both intakes, ported the wastegate, and sharpened the blades. I can't recomend them enough. They also do everything from head porting to full race prep for WRX's. Check them out at:

Turbo Porting...
Hey, what's up man? I am currently in the process of getting a Turbo Back Exhaust and I was looking into getting my turbo ported to prevent boost creep. I came across your post, and decided to look into it more. I am from LA....so your recommendations sounded perfect! Did the porting stop ALL boost creep? If you could, please send me pics and info on how much it was, down time, etc. Thanks so much!

turbo work
If I rember correctly I dropped the turbo off on a Wendsday morning and had it back on Friday by noon. I had the exhaust inlet and wastegate ported as well as the air intake. They also mirror polished it, ground down the nut that holds on the turbine and sharpened the blades. No boost creep at all. I am currently running a custom turbo back full race exhaust from Hayward & Scott (Scoobysport UK). I don't rember exactly how much it was, he kind of gave me a deal. Check out their site and give them a call. They also do full race prep for international rally teams. I'll send some picts to your e-mail address. Do your homework and talk to someone in person before you let them work on your turbo.
