So the guys comes out, troubleshoots.. Turns out that the line coming from the tap (main box running underground from the street to teh house) was set up wrong, plus its slightly damaged, and im losing signal, and supposedly A LOT of it. To top it all off, the guy that installed it in the first place wired the house all wrong and put up amps and splitters all over the place, which I'm told is no bueno cause it disrupts the signal (kinda like how you can't hook up an adapter/extension between 2 rj45 cables..)

According to TW I'm suppose to have a black cable running from the tap to the house, and not a white one. *shrug*.. to make a long story short, they are coming to the house tomorrow to tear out the old line running under ground, replace it. Then on the 2nd, they are going to rewire our whole house so that we will have everything all come into one central splitter from the tap.

According to the TW tech, this will give us, 1. a brand new install, 2. An un-interrupted signal, which is supposedly going to = Uberness... all around.. So maybe my connection will be a little better, not that I really have issues like ichi or ed, but if it does help my connection, a little bump is better than none..

I'm not sure how this ties in to everyone with issues, but maybe for those with TW can have the techs come out and test the lines from the TAP to the house.. Especially for those with "older" houses..

The TW tech said since they accuired all the other cable companies, they've been doing a lot of rewires to the customer of the other companies, as well as their own do it improper hook-ups (or lazy, I just want to get this job done, type installs, as it was at my house), older equipment, or damaged equiptment.

Did you have to pay extra for the HDMI box? As for my last bandwidth test, I went to www.dslreports.com and did the speed test and ran around 3 megs down and like 700kb up, I think....
