when you test your network connection, what NAT type are you getting?
NAT1 or NAT2 is what you want. if you're getting a NAT3 connect you will have problems connecting and voice chat will not work.
cod4 needs open ports 5093 and 5094 UDP.

I can get into the lobby, but couldn't get into a game. I would also get franco's invites to join, but it would tell that the server is full. When I try to join you guys.

well at times when i text you and i invite at the same time
there's lots of traffic on the servers and there has been many times we would send an invite and it would never show up.
What you need to do is add everyone on your friends list so you can invite and vice versa
