I don't see any differnce at all. The only differnce I notice between the two is that my DVD player is loud in comparison. But without a doubt my xbox with XBMC ( http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/ ) is the best home media appliance i've ever gotten. I hardly ever play games on it, maybe forza.

I don't go that far really, but you can mod that into your xbox and XBMC has support for it.

Sinister,

You guys are burning discs with the blue ray? I heard about a year ago that they were supposed to be entering the computer market around Christmas of last year, the time came and went. Are the Game Cube games blue ray?

Yeah, we replicate discs here. We are working on optimizing our BD lines to support the movies at the moment. Japan is optimizing the BD-R side of it. We will begin the BD-R side here in our facility next year, which will become our main focus in the BD area.
As for Nintendo using BD, not in this generation (Wii), they will utilize faster disc speeds and take the DVD technology to it's full potential. In some senses, it may be the better way to go. Most consumers wont be able to see the big difference between HD and DVD, therefore, the different actual gaming experience you will get from Wii's hardware should put Nintendo back on top. At least the analysts think so after the E3 show. Well, for my sake, I hope that's the case.

Oh and you should see about 7 BD titles hitting the stores next Tuesday. The players should be available by the end of this month. At tleast they will definitely be available before this christmas (if you can afford the price on the players, over $1k)
