Q for the gravel crew: Is Libre Trail passable?
Hey folks,
I grew up down here in SoCal, and am back visiting for a few days.
Also, I am a dirt-road junkie: So
Does anyone know if the Libre Truck Trail is open and passable for a WRX with full skid plates? Is there still any deep snow up there?
(FYI, the libre trail runs east from Gorman.)
Thanks in advance,
Mike

hey...
hmmmmm, that is a damn good question. We used to run that road quite often. Now days, we stick to the Temecula Valley, as we have discovered a 12 mile awesome road to test and play on. Besides it is close to home, should we have an excursion involving the side of the road...god forbid! Will you be coming out to the 2 day Rally-X in Laughlin?

recce01,
Thanks for responding anyway. It's too late now, as I just arrived back up here in Santa Cruz, but I'd love to know where you go to hit up the gravel out in Temecula...
I did Libre a few years ago in an OBS, and it was easily passable and lots of fun. Havn't been up there since I got the WRX.
I went down south through the pennunlular range and then over into Anza Borrego, where we hit up some rough desert roads. Really a beautiful place... and only a little dammage.
We also made a couple runs up Angeles Crest/Big Tujunga Canyon and played around on some rough, narrow trails up there.
Maybe I'll try Libre if I'm down for Christmas.
Oh, and no, I cant make it out to Laughlin, but it sounds really cool.
Thanks again fer tryin, and feel free to PM me your secret road in temecula.
