I actually took the time over the weekend to play around with the Iphone at an At&T store in my hometown this past. It was as I expected. Great technology for the states. Too expensive. This is in addition to the battery having to be replaced by Apple. I guess you are supposed to send the Iphone to Apple and wait 2 weeks to get your phone back. In the meanwhile, they give you an Iphone rental. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me. One of my annoyances was the touch screen QWERTY will take some getting accustomed to. My huge thumbs kept hitting the wrong keys.
The push button QWERTY is sometimes hard to press, but once you press the button, there is no mistake as to what key you are pressing. My choice if I were to have to buy one now, is the Blackberry. Even though it comes with "training", i'll deal with it.
Now if the following happens to the Iphone with a 3G addition, I'm sold:

blashphemy!
can you hear the legions of apple disciples stampeding to your office?!
one would have thought after the ipod battery debacle they would provide a more convenient way to change your battery
Had apple said something about their battery before the sale, their stock would not be at $130 right now, in fact, it's dropped when they announced this, but came back today.

You can use the following codes to control the delay from 5 to 30 seconds on any GSM phone:
1. To get the current call forwarding status, enter *#61#[SEND] into your phone.
2. Write down the 10-digit number(ignore the +1), this is the phone number that your calls are currently being diverted to.
3. Enter **61*[number]*11*[delay]#[SEND] into your phone using the phone number (numbers only) as reported by the status & the delay can be set to (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30) seconds.
4. To verify that the settings are correct, enter *#61#[SEND] into your phone.
