hahah i tried goin to youporn and the movie would not load i think youtube has switched their encoding to some quicktime version.
i am pretty sure it will work with vista.
as far as ringtone it was originally goin to come with custom ringtones in itunes. the new version of itunes has a hidden add ringtone feature that has not been activated yet. for whatever reason they didnt activate that function and i am sure why they did add that feature with the release of the phone, but that will be one of the first updates i hope. but i do agree with that that is a pretty basic feature of phones not to put in.

so far it is a great phone i am loving it. there are some complaints but all my complaints will be resolved in the first update that should be coming in weeks.
i waited about 8 hr. in line at the att store on imperial and beach.
the phone is fast it load movie, music, and email fast
the typing took some time gettin use to but i can write as fast as i use to text message with my old phone i actually like the key board better.
the things i dont like are:
no copy and paste
no custom ring tones
no instant messenger
no mms
but all of these can be fixed with a system update.
but all in all i am happy there are supposed to be major updates to the phone when the new osx comes out in october. so in october my phone will be a completely different phone then what it is now. that is the beauty of this phone, all it need is a system update and it can be a different phone with better and new features.

My boyfriend walked into the Apple Store at the Northridge Mall at 7 PM the day of release and nobody was there - he got his right away. I got mine the next morning when there was 3 people ahead of me in line. I agree with your list of con's for the iPhone, but its pro's completely outweighs its negative counterparts. Another thing that kind of griped me is that the largest capacity right now is 8G. Granted, the iPhone uses Flash memory, and the largest capacity available is 8G, but I'm not one of those people who can get an iPhone and get rid of their iPod.
yeah i still mainly use my 80 gig ipod but i made a smart playlist for my movie, tv shows, and videos/music so that when i sync my iphone it pulls 2 gigs of each.
i have heard of people walking right in but i wanted to get one for sure that is why i waited in line.

Me either, which is why there is no reason to spend $600 on a phone. I'll save $400, and go buy an equally good phone that I know I wont use as an mp3 player, and does all the same things as the iPhone.
i think the point of an iphone is just another toy that has everything in one so u don't have to carry alot of stuff around. it looks like a nice toy minus the itunes thing

problem is with that.. most people doesn't know about all the other feature it has.. all they know is.. it's made by apple, so they have to own one...
I hadn't been able to sync my Outlook with my Blackberry through Parallels, since I got my new iMac, so that was something that bugged me as well. It's really important for me to have my contacts and e-mail for work. The iPhone obviously does fine sync'ing up, and I can look forward to software updates to alleviate a few of the complaints about the iPhone.
I did the same. :RockOn - not mine:
For consumers who use a cell phone minimally and need only a cell phone, the iPhone is not for you. For others, it's worth the money for the technology. Even then, that doesn't stop thousands from buying it because it's a bad *** gadget.
And Shim, no I have not. I could tell you right now too many things about it would bug me.

I actually took the time over the weekend to play around with the Iphone at an At&T store in my hometown this past. It was as I expected. Great technology for the states. Too expensive. This is in addition to the battery having to be replaced by Apple. I guess you are supposed to send the Iphone to Apple and wait 2 weeks to get your phone back. In the meanwhile, they give you an Iphone rental. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me. One of my annoyances was the touch screen QWERTY will take some getting accustomed to. My huge thumbs kept hitting the wrong keys.
The push button QWERTY is sometimes hard to press, but once you press the button, there is no mistake as to what key you are pressing. My choice if I were to have to buy one now, is the Blackberry. Even though it comes with "training", i'll deal with it.
Now if the following happens to the Iphone with a 3G addition, I'm sold:
