I find the whole oil argument pretty hilarious really. First off, guess why Saudi Arabia has one of the most oppressive regimes in the middle east (possibly the most), is run by Sunni Muslims who live lives of luxury (Saud family Princes) while their citizens live lives of misery yet.....................they have no military. Probably because America promises them protection as long as they provide oil. Reference the Gulf War, where'd the attacks on Kuwait/Iraq come from? SAUDI ARABIA. We don't need Iraq for oil, we'd have been better off going to Nigeria (a stones throw from Darfur) because in 2002, they imported 8 billion gallons more oil to the US than Iraq. (Nigeria imported 19.3B/Iraq 11.3B). Saudi Arabia gives up more the 6 times that amount a year.

It's so funny how people forget Saddam was the very first to use a chemical weapon against a civilian population (Kurds in the north during the Al Anfal campaign). There is documented proof he had tons of Sarin under the guise he was making agricultural pesticides. Why is it so hard to believe he had this stuff in 2003?

Sure, I'm down for some oil right about now. The funny thing is is that Bush could have gotten on TV really serious in a nice pressed suit in about December of 2002 and said "Listen, Saddam says he's gonna jack oil up a couple bucks which means you're gonna pay $1.50 a gallon instead of $1, we're going over there to beat his *** and set an example."

90% of Americans would have been all over that, patting soldiers on the *** on their way out.

One day I hope we will meet at a meet and I will voice my views on this subject. It's kinda of radical but realistic. I think my writing/views are a bit difficult for people to take becasue it is so direct but I rather be honest and direct than lie to be nice.

THAT IS MY POINT TO ALL OF THIS!

It is not until we create an awareness amoungst ourselves and let them (political leaders) know that we are not stupid.

Don't put icing on a piece of S$#@ and call it a cake and then tell us to blow out the candle and eat it.

They have done this in the past don't let them do it in the future. I want others to continue to enjoy the freedom that so many have died for.

well, US can *** with China all they want, but just go ahead and look around u and see what's not made in china..

In the end China has more power. If they stop exporting to US, we are screwed.
And so are they. We are the purchasers of their GDP. Furthermore, if they **** us off we've got enough power in the UN to shut down their fuel supplies significantly. Or we could just use our economic weight to drive the price of the Chinese dollar down. Can you say currency power sabotage?

Your point is what, that gas is almost 3 times as expensive as when we invaded Iraq?????? Name another instance where America as endured an Iraq like war without naming Vietnam as there is clearly no oil there (or monetary motivation what-so-ever)?

You're struggling to make a point here. You went from "Iraq was a scam, we got shafted" to "enjoy the freedom fallen soldiers have provided".

You don't have to be thick skined in that my views are radical and only thought provoking not physical. .

History:

1980-1988 Iran Iraq war. U.S. supported Saddam. provided weapons, intelligence ect....

1989-1990 Saddam tried to form another OPEC with arab nations.

1991 - Gulf war Now Saddam is the enemy.

"Iraq was a scam" No WDM, just tell us we need to control the oil.
"We got shafted" Tilman gave up $million contract, died for what? .
"enjoy the freedom fallen soldiers have provided" Guys died on D-Day to stop Hitler which was a real threat to our country.
