Moving to Cali soon, worried about safety inspection!

Hey guys,
So i'll be moving to Cali this coming July from Hawaii and I'm just trying to gauge what all I will have to do to my car to insure it will pass my safety inspection in Cali. My mod list is:
Q300 tbe
Invidia catted dp
Process West mic
Cobb sf intake
Perrin full recirc bov
Grimmspeed ebcs
Id 1000cc injectors
DW fuel pump
Perrin uppipe
Tial 44mm Ewg
Cobb front/rear sway bars
Kartboy endlinks
Kartboy short throw and bushings.

Is the inspection more about who you know that will pass you or is it possible to pass without having to revert completely back to stock? Any help's appreciated!

Not really a safety inspection. Smog check in Cali is getting harder to pass almost every year. You definately will not pass with your setup. They do a visual for Cats. I passed last year with a stage 1 tune, AEM intake which has a CARB #, and Invidia Q300 CBE. Ive heard that the new laws coming into effect soon will no long have a visual, but will plug into your OBD2 port and check for OEM tune. If its not stock you will not pass. So yeah, welcome to California!

Yes, Your car will need a smog check which your car will fail. Down pipe, intake, ewg, 1000cc injectors, etc. Pretty much needs factory emission related parts to be reintsalled

Put your stock downpipe, blow off valve, up pipe, boost controller. You can pass smog check with aftermarket catback exhaust.
And yea...welcome to the land of "49 states legal, California illegal"!

The ewg is the only threat i see... the new emission laws are much easier to pass than before. There is no longer a tailpipe sniffer... so long as you dont have any check engine lights on... you just need to find a shop thats lenient on the visual.

Incorrect.

They will no longer do a SNIFFER test, they WILL continue to do visual and OBDII scan.

Honestly, IMO, it should be the other way around. Who cares what you have done to that car, if it passes the sniffer, it should be fine.
