The Gas Mileage Contest
I have an 03 wrx doing at least 280 at the wheels, I drive back and forth from Santa Clarita to Glendale, to Northridge and I usually get somewhere around 21-24mpg. I describe my driving style as "aggressively accelerating to the speed limit." :-P
i stopped caring how much gas costs....even if i drive like a granpda i dont see over 20mpg
i just buy later at night it tends to be at the lowest $ and no lines to wait for at 76....
only time i was getting consistant 20+mpg was when i was breaking it in...but can't drive like that in socal.....maybe norcal where its ok to drive slow...or if u drive a camry

Oh ya. a hint for you driving back up. Fill up at the buttonwillow exit (58 i believe and not too far after you pass the mountains). DON'T fill up at lost hills (next exit down). RIP OFF!! I don't know how your gas mileage is, but if you fill up at buttonwillow, gas is cheaper, plus you should be able to make it back to Sac from there.
Nice meeting you yesterday.
