I have an 03 wrx doing at least 280 at the wheels, I drive back and forth from Santa Clarita to Glendale, to Northridge and I usually get somewhere around 21-24mpg. I describe my driving style as "aggressively accelerating to the speed limit." :-P

I drive fairly conservatively, mostly around town, to school to work to the gym and I get around 250 miles a tank. Sigh. That only equates to around 16 mpg, wtf?

my best mileage was 340 miles to a tank with 60% fwy and 40% local, but half the freeway time was traffic so iono if that even counts

Oh ya. a hint for you driving back up. Fill up at the buttonwillow exit (58 i believe and not too far after you pass the mountains). DON'T fill up at lost hills (next exit down). RIP OFF!! I don't know how your gas mileage is, but if you fill up at buttonwillow, gas is cheaper, plus you should be able to make it back to Sac from there.

Nice meeting you yesterday.
