get a nice map (thomas guide) and highlight your trip and how to get to places.

Just make sure you go 70 in a 65 (not 55) and 60 in a 55 (not 45) and you'll be fine.

Have fun in SD. There isnt really any decent race shops here, but Deff check out Autobacs in OC. Its not a bad drive if you go in the morning after the work commute has died down. Theres a lot of meets here in SD with the AWjunkie group. Check out their website www.awjunkies.com they meet up pretty frequently all over SD

Just chance um brah! I love driving in SoCal. If only people in Hawaii take on-ramps like they do in Cali. Dunno too much about SD, but you should at least try to go to Autobacs (expensive, but good to browse), and if you do drive north to the Orange County area, make a stop in Costa Mesa to see Ferdie @ South Coast Subaru lots of Subie stuff in one place. Eh kamaaina Mike....no mo any meets he can go while he stay dea? Their Life Plaza meets is like our Thursday Jamba Juice thingy. The SoCal guyz are real cool, I got to hang out with some of them at a Subie meet back in March. Enjoy your Socal vacation!

Right on Shiroikage thanks ahh! And to all the boys in Socal for the help I can't wait to get away for a little while. I wanted to go check out this one cat in Lake Forest but I am not to sure how far it is from San Diego. I know what you mean about the on ramps it's a little scary getting onto a freeway here at 25 mph when people are doing 65 mph that makes me crazy. A pet peive you could say at least speed up enough where the guys on the freeway aren't going to plow into your a$$. Anyway keep um coming, maybe the car we rent will have that navigation gps system I think that would be a plus!

Can't grumble much, how 'bout you? Is JGTC returning in December? If so, it would be very tempting as my wife really wants to see Disneyland during the holidays. Anywayz Aloha to all of SoCal I-clubbers. Hope there is a meet again when I return. Laterz.

Like what Mike said. When entering the freeway, you are at speed and can merge into traffic without breaking the flow. Hit the on-ramp at speed, turn on your signal and seamlessly slide in. It's unfortunate though that a lot of people in Hawaii will not yield to a turn-signal, they'll just speed up so you can't get in, even if you have position.
