Its better than 100+, 2 points on your license and stays on your record for 10 years. DUI's, Reckless driving, speed contest, and exhibition of speed are all pretty much the same.

From driving up and down I-5, i have learned this:

1.) A good unposted max speed to go is 90. Good avg spd is 85.

2.) Slow down before bridges and towns

3.) 58 exit has cheapest gas

4.) when Ka band goes off on your car radar, slow down.

I've gone up to 120mph before slowing down b4 the bridges..

I went up to the bay area a month ago and NONE of the CHP along the 5 use laser. Every time I got Ka on the radar, it was always someone that got pulled over and the cop left their radar on.

I ave 80 and I did slow down before/after bridges and towns. That cop just came out from the middle of no where. I guess I need to buy those radar thing, but then again. I have been wasting all my money on mountaineering stuff. I gone up to 135 before.

I think that's what happen, and that's one thing I didn't do... look at opposite traffic... well this is a good lesson for me.

ya ka can go in either direction. They have a pic floating out there on the web showing the radar in front and back of the patrol car. Although it won't give a reason for the cops to cross the median and pursue you, they can contact somebody down the road from you, reconfirm your speed and then stop you.
