Ok, my 02 WRX wagon has a Borla hush on it.

About a month ago, it fell apart. Seriously. Where the Down pipe ends and the area where a cat should be the thing had one "Tack Weld" holding it in place.

No big deal, took the car to a friends muffler shop and they re welded it, more securely this time.

Now, it rattles. Seems it is mis aligned now.

Is this a common issue with exhausts on the wagon? If so....what is a fix for it?

Can't complain to the muffler ship IMHO, they fixed it for free....

Remembered seeing something in here about Wagon exhaust rattle....but can't find now.

My exhaust rattles too.... Do you have a flex section in the mid pipe? If not, maybe that's what caused the intial problem, but that's just a guess. Hope you get it sorted out.

 

i have hush on my wagon to mine tends to rattle everynow and then. but i can just push it to one side and it stops (for a bit) that sucks that it fell apart. im gonna keep and i out for mine thnx

 

my exhaust doesnt rattle.

 

if its the muffler try hardened mounts
or have the shop weld a piece of scrap to hold it firmly in place.
