I understand that but with my headlights for some reason the orage connector that has the : brown, orange, and black wire. Does not fit into the HID ballast connector, but the HID connector have the same exact colors, so I think I have to splice it.
No the only other problem I am running into is where do I hook up the three factory wires (positive low beam, positive high beam, and shared negative). I know that I splice the high beam and the shared negative to the 9005 connector that I got.
Now, I dont know where to connect the low beam and shared negative too. Maybe I should splice them into the orange, brown, and black wire for thr hid's. But I dont know what the wires are?
Please help me your the only one that has replied to my concern STEVEID !!

The HID ballast ground should be connected to the chassis directly I believe for best grounding.
If your lights don't plug into the ballasts directly I would suggest that those ballasts are from a different version of the HID's (Subaru made flat black and black chrome HID's) Each had a slightly different set of connectors.
You need to unplug your DRL (daytime running light module) behind the glovebox or you will blow the light fuse when you try and turn on your HID's
There's some useful info in this threads:

well the most important question I had went un-answered which was where do I conect the the factory wires. The high beam, low beam, and ground.
DO I hoo these up to the ballast or the orange wire that comes from the back of the headlight (brown, orange, and black) Im assuming the factory harnesses low beam has to hook up somewhere in order to enable the HIDS.
Now the problem is if I should hook the low beam and ground to the orange connector from the back of the headlights which would I splice of the three?
Thanks for the quick response

Maybe I'm not explaining this the right way. My main question is where do I connect the (low beam positive & shared negative) to
my first thought is the orange connector that comes from the headlights but there are three wires in their which I dont know what they are.
Thanks for the quick response again
So basically this is what I know lets take the passengers side first
I have a ballast that has red/black wire on one harness which is power and ground. Now on the other harness thats connected to the ballst is the (i think the low beam) orange, brown, and black wires. Now I know that connects to the orange connector from the headlights. I made my own wire harness and the high beams im just going to splice the shared negative and high beam connection and thats that. But now for my low beam connection from factory. You refer it as the yellow wire , now with that wire an shared negative where do I splice that into.
The orange, black and brown wires? If so which two?
Your great STEVEID

Ok, the plug on the ballast with the three wires goes to the HID unit on the lights.
There are black, brown and orange.
There should be a small ring connector on the black wire (see pic) that connects to the chassis.
On these lights that only leaves the two bare looking wires (the orange and the brown)
Brown is power, orange is ground as well.
The positive is connected to the low beam positive on your stock harness, the ground is wired to the chassis (not the shared negative)
Note: If you decide to connect to the shared negative I believe the lights will go off when you flash your highbeams.
