Yay for drunk drivers!

This happened on the 17th, a couple weeks ago. My car was parked outside a friend's house, and just when we were about to go outside to leave, a drunk lady in a Ford Explorer sideswiped my 00 RS and plowed into my friend's 03 Honda Pilot. She was going so fast she knocked the Pilot about 15 feet away, but she STILL kept going and ended up hitting a nearby tree. You can see the tree guts on her front passenger corner in one of the pics.

Her car again

My original estimate was $3100, but I just got a call and there's more damage than they thought: wheel bearing, strut, and knuckle will also have to be replaced. So it'll probably be closer to $4000.

My friend also got his estimate: $10,300 and 6 weeks to completion. OUCH.

Did your friends car have that stuff you spray on your license to beat those traffic cameras?

The drunk drivers always live. Murphys law. Maybe it is so they can ponder their mistakes (actually scientifically it is generally because their muscles are relaxed from the alcohol and there isn't as much tension in their body as a result so they break less and "go with the flow").

Well, my ultimate goal is a WRX or STi swap. I bought the car a year ago and the previous owner (whoever he was) was a complete moron, so I've had to fix a lot of stuff over the last year. The accident happened about 3 days before I'd had her a year. LOL Luckily the damage wasn't too severe, so once I get her back (probably next month), it's time to start saving for mods!!

She was so plastered she didn't even attempt to slow down. The only thing that DID slow her down was the left side of my car.....

Nope, he doesn't have the license plate reflective stuff. Just a random fluke of the camera's flash, I guess.

LOL I would, but insurance is already getting one for me.

ONE wheel is listed as $347.00!! Man I'm glad I ain't paying. Too bad I couldn't just get the cash for it, buy yours, and pocket the difference. Heh.
