www.ca.gov under "Business"

Go buy quickbooks.

Don't advertise a "Road Dyno"

Good luck!

thanx illy... ill start checkign into that.. but i guess what my real question is, do i just need a vendors license in order to buy at wholesale, and since i want to deal with companies such as HKS, greddy, APEXi, AEM and such.. is the only way to deal with them direct to become a authorized dealer, because im not to sure they will accept a little in house company to be authorized...

You'll usually need to have a place of business, a business license, and be able to demonstrate somehow that you're not just trying to get hookups for you and your friends. Most places have buy-ins, requirements for banner displays, and differing wholesale rates depending on what and how much you buy.

You may need to go through a distributor to start with, because then that hurdle with the OEM is not as much of an issue.

#1 Get a business liscence
#2 Get a fictitious business name
#3 You have to place an ad in yellow pages or something of that sort <-- this is kinda the thing that shows them you aren't just for getting hookups for you and your friends
#4 Get a business bank account. Checking a must and credit if you want
#5 Get a resale liscence
#6 Go out, sell stuff, and report back with your results
