It wasn't mine, it was his. It sits in the garage next to the chevelle until he finds a buyer, while the new one he got to replace it is in the driveway covered in like 3 car covers. Last I heard he got offered 5k last week. My mom replied with a resounding no.

The motor itself is good still I believe, he started it up one last time after the tow truck dropped it off at the body shop, where the insurance was to take a look at it.

 

 

As a Nissan enthusiast I've seen just about every swap done in Datsun Z. Here are my suggestions if you want to stay away from doing the "boring same old swap":

1. VQ45 from a Titan, and supercharge it... if you want to stick with Nissan.

2. Twin Hayabusa motors with bigger turbos... if you want to be original.

 

That would probably be the coolest thing i have ever seen in my life if it could be pulled off.... the drivetrain would be insane to put together though....
