VCHC is awesome!
my dad used to take me up there as a kid to watch...
one of the best places is the start line at the bottom...
you can see them leave, then hear them climb up the hill...
i think you have to get there extremely early in the morning to get an on course seat, since they close the road first thing that day...
and then you're stuck there for the day.
plus you'll only be able to see one or maybe two turns...
we used to go to the start line and walk the pits, then watch til mid day...
then take the highway into VC and get some lunch..
by the time we got out, the streets in VC would be flooded w/ Ferraris & super cars!
it's not all Ferrari's there is a lot of nice supercars...(read: lotus, Lambo, etc..)
there was a great Pantera out there too...
sounded like a dragster at the line.
there's also a bunch of beaters too...
like rotary powered 510's and old V8 MGB-GT's...
but it's fun to watch.
i don't recommend doing it w/o a cage...(if they'd even let you)
it's got big drops on the road...we drove it one year the day after...
pretty cool run!
i might be down to check it out again.
