hill climb?
hill climb?
I drove up Mt. Diablo one day and it was damn fun. It got me wondering why these isn't any kind of hillclimb event on it? It would be a great event having sanctioned hillclimbs on Mt. Diablo, or any other of the big mountains like Mt. Tam, Mt. Hamilton, or maybe even Twin Peaks.

mt diablo is like 3 miles long (to the gate) once you get out of the residential area. its way too short
mt hamilton is a much better canidate
but think of the insurance and liability of whoever puts on the event having cars race up uneven pavement on windy roads that is edged by a wall on one side and a cliff on the other. not really the safest thing, especially in street cars where stuff like roll cages aren't required

i was also assuming the south gate as that is what i have driven most often, i have a tendancy to forget about the northside
