Been debating it, but i'm not sure if I'm ready for one mentally honestly. Few factors, I'm a young up and commer in the company right now, so I want to be flexible incase I need to run up to washington for a few months. I also don't want the yard work, extra expenses that come with a house. However i'd rent a room out, and end up paying alot less a month than I do in my apartment.

I've been looking at these weird houses that aren't attached at all. All have attached garages. They share the same drive-way entrance though. It's like 5-6 houses share the same driveway and all kind of face each other. They are over off woodcreek, and I believe i've seen that red WRX with the gold rims, sti spoiler out infront of the office area.

I have no idea what they are going for though, but those interest me because they have a garage that i'd HAVE to have, and don't have the yardwork.

Ya, it's hard to pass up some of these prices that I'm seeing. Might regret it in a few years when I find out I never had to go to washington

Especially with a new home, there's not a lot of expenses. Yeah, there's some yard work, but on most new places now the lots are so small it takes about 10 minutes to do the yard work.

The main expenses I'd think you would require would be pest control. Especially in new construction areas, all the displaced insects have to end up somewhere. Get a good pest control company and make sure they end up in your neighbors house. I learned that lesson a bit late :\. My pest control company, who used to be Roseville Pest Control and is now Advanced Pest Control or Integrated Pest Control or some ****, also offers a weeding service. They spray the beds with pre and post emergents and pull any weeds that have grown for an extra $15/mo. WELL worth it, IMO.

Past that, even though the monthly expense might be a bit higher, you can get around that by playing with your w-4 and adjusting your withholdings. You get a nice fat write off from interest on your loan and property taxes. Once you get past the 'standard deduction' amount allowed by the IRS, you can write off a whole bunch of **** .

A) Can someone ****ing delete pauls pictures, this side scrolling to read **** is annoying...

B) Ya, I know but with HOA's they like to ***** about everything there is to ***** about. My friend has one of the greenest lawns in the area and the HOA left him a letter to go infront of them all and talk about his lawn. He showed them a picture like WTF do you want me to do

C) I'm wondering how hard it is for someone like me to get into a house. I only have 3-4 months at my current employment which I make a pretty decent income. The 2 years of prior employment only had me at 13 bucks an hour . I think i'll need to stick around at this job for awhile before it will be much easier for me to get into somewhere.

And again, i'm not sure if I want to force myself to live in roseville/work in Sac quite yet. I'll be pissed if something comes up a few months down the road for an amazing experience oppurtunity. However it is looking like i'm about to get signed onto a 2 year contract through CalTrans, in which case I won't be going anywhere and the house option is a very buyable option
