I actually don't hate MS anymore. I used to. A lot. But now, XP is pretty reliable and I don't have any issues with it. I keep my PC patched and I have a hardware firewall in place to keep me out of trouble for the most part. Now, if my games would run under Linux, I'd be using that no doubt, but until then, XP is ok.

Yeah, waiting for a BJ is always the worst... I mean, waiting for a table at BJs is always the worst.

Just out of curiousity, do the innuendo jokes ever get old?

heh, that was how I got my first legitimate copy of windows software. Windows 98.

If you guys think 98, or even ME or early XP were unreliable, my dad was on the beta list for win 95. THAT was a piece of ****.

Yeah, I became a hardcore linux/osx/unix guy in college, only begrudgingly using windows for games and the like. Then after I started developing in an MS environment, I really started to like a lot of what it has to offer. But, we've still learned our lesson here to not develop to any particular platform until SP1 for it has been released :rotfl:

I think I'll install Vista next week (MSDN subscription FTW) on my secondary dev pc. Just to see what it's like.

lol, word to that. We also have policies in place like that - I can't install the latest patches for a certain amount of time, then it has to be tested in our environment for a certain amount of time, etc. Vendors always go "DUDE WE JUST DROPPED THE LATEST VERSION IT'S SO SWEET YOU'LL JUST DIE!! WHY AREN'T YOU USING IT?!?!?!?". 3 months, and 20 hot fixes later, they know why .

WTLW.

The Java Gmail client is nice, but why doesn't it allow you to tag your emails????? They've squeezed almost every other feature into it, why leave that out?

I didn't have a capable telephone last week

Its kinda cool. I don't think its worth the $15 a month, or whatever the data plan at Sprint is, but its still kinda cool.

Now, I just need some i-club wap forums
