I'm happy with the reliability of XP, I'm consistently up for 2 weeks or more at a time and usually an patch is the only reason to reboot. It's solid (not compared to Linux/Unix though).

Way more secure than XP.
64 bit version sets aside 4GB memory space for each app. Memory mapping is randomized to keep attacks down.
drivers will be required to be signed. crappy drivers are very often the reason for crashes.

neat little geeky things like a trend of the PC health. "oh look, ever since a month ago my machine started to suck. looky there I installed some pr0n that day."
3D chess!!!!
The RTM build is faster than the previous betas and RCs because those have debug code running.

1) yay firewalls for morons !
2) lol, being more secure then XP is saying you are less of a ***** of a **** star. It's really a poor measuring stick
3) sounds like something that will introduce kernel panics from memory errors. Should be fun!
4) AWESOME.. signed drivers that Microsoft will hold over the head of small 3rd party hardware companies. I think I have a few devices that are from major manufactures that are still unsigned. Say good-bye to beta drivers to resolve issues as well.
5) PC health will be cool if it works

6) ROCK ON CHESS !

Yes, guys everyone hates MS. There are a lot less reasons to upgrade since they cut out a bunch of stuff and have since patched XP with some of the stsuff that was supposed to be exclusivly vista.
Just remembered the install is nicer becasue it dumps an image onto your HD rather than expanding individual files. And instead of slipstreaming your own service packs onto a install disk you just dump whatever you want into the 'upgrade' folder and it gets applied during the install.
