Thunderhill Video
They put me and Lance in different run groups, so I shot some video (with my diigtal camera, so don't whine about the quality) of some of his passes.
Unfortunately, I was missing one adapter so I couldn't run my in/on car video.

Nice! I wonder how embarrassed those guys were to be beat by a wagon! :rotfl:

But, the last session of the day was a combined group of both intermediate groups so Lance has got some footage of me in front of him for a few laps. I could always tell which corners I need to/can go faster in because that's when Lance was on me.

Here's my track report for yesterday:
1) Thunderhill now has a carport over the north end of the paddock. It made for some nice shade. Get there early though or you won;t find a spot. I think we had about 20 cars under there.
2) We ran the bypass on 5 and I must say it is scary. It is very easy to carry too much speed and get light over the smaller hill. If you turn too soon, you will get sideways.
3) A corvette caught on fire in the Advanced group in the first few minutes of the day and the track was redflagged.
4) A 911 spun out on 3 in the first couple of laps of my session.
5) Some jackass in a black STi got light over 5 on lap 4, turned too soon, drifted sideways, and ended up in the dirt, spewing debris all over the track. He shouldn't have been so worried about the Z06 he had been holding off for the last 2 laps.
6) Corvette stalled in the second intermediate group (Lance's group) and the track was red flagged for the tow.
7) Besides the STi, at least 3 other cars spun at 5, incuding the 911 that had already spun on 3. But that may not have been his fault since there was a mess on the track from the car ahead of him that spun there (not the STi this time).
8) 68 Camaro in the Advanced group blew his engine at the flag station at 3 and dumped oil all the way to 5. The Advanced group was red flagged again while they cleaned up the oil. I think they ended up with 4 laps that time. The Camaro sat at the top of 5 out of the way until lunch time. It spewed more oil while being towed in, so there was more oil soaking stuff on the track when we went back out after lunch.
9) Corvette stalled on the back straight resulting in another red flag for Lance's group while he was towed out.
Other than all of that, it was a good day. A lot of people had a hard time with tire pressures and I think I finally had them right by the last two sessions. We expected the track to be a lot warmer than it really was.

Lance has video of me during the last session, so we should be able to check the times off that.
