Sunrise/Douglas is sure running smoother now...

I was just eating at Lorenzos on Sunrise up by Douglas, and was amazed that between 5-6pm there was ZERO traffic backup in front of the restaurant.

That new flyover and tunnel sure are working wonders, and its only been open a couple days...

Thought I might mention this for all of us who normally avoid that area because of traffic

Now they just need to finish fixing the Sunrise/Douglas intersection and Eastbound I-80 Douglas offramp.

That's why I always take Eureka to go up Douglas.

Unless there is a butt load of traffic. Then I ditch out at Riverside (where the I-80 traffic starts), cross over I-80, grab Cirby and cross back over the freeway, over Sunrise, and to Rocky Ridge, which dumps to Douglas. Plus the section of Rocky Ridge before Maidu Park is a blast.

I've taken Eureka a couple times, but not the other route you mentioned. Sounds like it's fun though
