anyway to make the shifter on my car smoother??
right now i have cusco shift bushings, subydude short shifter, and the shifts are precise due to the shift bushings, but the shifts are also hard/rough.
for instance it's like u gotta give it a good push or else it doesn't go in, it feels like somewhere i need to grease it or something, but i already regreased the whole short shifter area....anyone have any other suggestions??
thanks

question is, does the short shifter affect the feel of the shift and how it feels? like the smoothness/roughness of the throw?
i just want my throw to be smooth.

Search man search, j/k... The subaru transmission is notchy, a short throw shifter will just make the throw shorter and bushings actually make it feel more notchy, but more precise... My advice is get used to it... You can change the transmission oil but that will only help so much. It will never feel like a honda, sorry
Just be happy it's still in one piece, even if it is a notchy piece!
