ah, but here is a philosphical question. If microsoft kills every computer it is on (which many claim it does) and the same is also true of AOL, then doesn't it follow that more computers are ruined by Microsoft then by AOL. Sure, there are a few Apple users that use AOL, but they are outnumbered by the people who use microsoft and not AOL.

Therefore, Microsoft is a greater ball of sucking then AOL.

In my experiences, Microsoft hasn't killed a comp until it has touched the internet (by AOL or whatever service). Hotmail, used to be, one of the eastiest ways for hackers to access a person's info. Internet Explorer... not much secuirty there.

After a couple moments of thought, I don't think it was Microsoft that killed it's computers, I think it was the flaws (open ports, lack of protection, etc.) that allowed it to BE killed. IDK what OS hackers use to write their viruses, trojans, etc. If it's Microsoft, then it can be said that they are just setting themselves up.

What kills Ms products beyond their less than stellar ability to reduce the number of chefs making the soup, is the fact that every wannabe hacker goes straight for IE and windows, while proclaiming every independent competitor of MS to be superior. Self-fulfilling prophecy.

Plus Aim has like 50X as many users as MSN...

I run my own little IRC network with services (coded by me). If anyone's interested I'll post server information here.

Actually it sucked.

It was an online service that looked like an extension of your desktop. You navigated by opening folders/windows. Later on the added access the web. Just like AOL did back at ver 3.x. Prior to that you were lucky to have ftp, gopher, or WAIS access to anything.

MSN is more visually appealing than AIM. I might give Trillian or some other multi-IM a try again.
