dude, you want either a moving billboard or some sort of luxury car to exude maturity/affluence. i don't see a little nissan hatchback, a scion, or any other car marketed to the 17-25 y.o. crowd as befitting of the image you're trying to portray.
how about a nissan maxima, lexus gs300, acura TL, etc? they're not cheap, but you don't want to trade an "18y.o. boy racer" image with a "16y.o. high school boy racer image"!!!

Drove one of those yesterday at the Zoom Zoom event. I really liked it, had as much fun driving it as I did with the miata. Handles VERY good, and its not as big as you think for having 3 rows (TONS of cargo room if you fold down the 3rd or 2nd row). Small 4-cylinder, so it gets good mileage. TONS of leg room. Plus, the 5-speed shifter is in the dash like the Civic Si, quite fun

its his choice I just gave him some options to look at.
yeah, Mazda5 is a cool guy too...six seats in pairs (2|2|2) bigger than Matrix but not much...
similar shape...mazda's zoom zoom theory design making it more fun to drive.
here's a pic of the Nissan Tiida minus the 3F3F....

much easier on the eyes.

Nissan isn't solid...only slated as a potential '07....
the Mazda5 is pretty cool...if it had been out in Feb/March i would have prolly been driving one right now...
