One of my roommates in college got stoned when he studied. Then he would get stoned right before the test. He had some theory on situational memory or some crap.

It's actually been tested and measured. I learned that in class. Doing the same thing while ur studying and taking the test would probably be best. And yes that means if you got into an argument with your wife/husband while studying, you might want to **** 'em off before you leave the house to take the test =P. Haha.

Classroom settings are usually quiet, no music, no tv, no dogs barking, etc. It's probably best to study in a quiet area that resembles as close to a desk at school where you will be taking the exam.
