36 hours edumacation / 7 days = 5 hours per day.

5 hours plus 9 hours at work = 14 hours.

24 hours in a day - 14 hours = 10 hours

10 hours - 8 hours sleepytime = 2 hours

And this doesn't even include driving time to/from work/school.

When do you guys sleep and/or have time to even take a dump?

Yeah about that. Here's how I do school:

First day review syllabus. Figure out the points layout, where the big assignments and tests are. Based on that, I figure out where/how to concentrate my efforts. For example, some instructors will give you a buttload of homework that amounts to 25 points out of 400 in a semester. You can bet I don't spend time doing that ****.

For studying, I usually get the review sheet from the instructor prior to the exam, then hit the major points from the review sheet in detail, by using the book (though I rarely buy the textbooks anymore) and/or Google (best class resource EVER). Studying for the exam usually takes me about two hours, and I'll do it all early on a Saturday or Sunday morning since I usually get up around 6 AM anyway.

Papers I do like the exams. I thoroughly read the instructions to find out the requirements. So many people get boned on their grade because they do this great job on the content of the paper, but forget to hit the main requirements like formatting, specific things the instructor wants analyzed, etc. I make sure to hit their wickets in the outline I put together, then I do the research around my topic and put it all together. Again, I do the papers/projects early in the AM on weekends when my brain is full of coffee and slam it out. Depending on the paper/assignment, I might take 3-4 hours for research and work.

So in all, I guess I do about 20 hours per semester of out of class work. That maybe averages out to one or two hours per week. The hardest part of school for me, is the time commitment of actually going to class. Though with some classes, this isn't even an issue. Last semester I had a class where there was a quiz every other Friday. Review sheets for each quiz were online and you could bring a cheat sheet to class. For the last six weeks of class, I showed up every other Friday and then on the day of the final . Made the Dean's list this semester too

I should write a CSU's for Dummies book.

Read my post above. It's all about strategery. Learn what the instructor wants, learn where the big points gains are, then focus your efforts there and don't waste your time on the little stuff.

I am ready to go to school! Matt's strategy is great! I just wish my employer paid for my school cost, because I don't want to dump the money in to it.
