I didn't get cited by CHP, just some cop off of Greenback and San Juan, which was sitting behind me in traffic at about 5:30pm when I was on my way home from work. He said my exhaust was too loud, which is hard to believe because we were sitting in traffic. My exhaust is pretty quiet considering what I have heard on other cars out there, but I got cited anyways. Two of my cousins are cops but not in the county which I was cited. I was just trying to find out if I got get it signed off from any officer of the law or may be one of the ones on board who might understand what I'm going through.

btw im moving to sac in like a week. how are cops downs there on exhuasts? tinted windows? do they pull alot of ppl over for that

 

pretty bad, you need to keep it under control, especially in areas like elk grove and parts of folsom

 

today on elk grove blvd there was a 04+ white wagon with rotas. we chatted at the light. i was the white sti.

 

remove the tint. you will get popped.

Most cops won't nail you for tinted windows alone, but if you get stopped for another reason you can almost always count on them citing for tint in addition to whatever else you did.

You can leave the tint on and pay a fee though, which I believe is $124. But if you get stopped again, even the next day, it's another $124 each time.

 

I was behind a blue one w/ altezzas on Eureka in Roseville yesterday. I refused to wave to him.

 

Ya alot of cops wont pull you over for JUST tint, alot will leave it, then they just wait for you to look like your are drinking and driving or something, then use it as an excuse to pull you over then see....
