It was more for the people here than the wide range of peopel in the Rally forum. I might be able to hook up some kind of event with these guys, so I wanted to post it here. Maybe I'll ****can this thread and move the original post to the Rally forum later.

Wait this thread was not derailed by me. Nick did it.

Whoa, that's a first.
No, I made two comments and one was pertinant to the discussion. Because you decided to comment on my nonsensical comment means you derailed the thread

(and to make sure I don't de-rail the thread again...)

Yeah Matt, I was thinking of moving it too, but I agree it is more of a local thing, though I bet those people in the Rally forum would love to see vids.

That second video is pretty awesome. The videos need to be just a bit longer though.

And another ridiculious comment... I used to know a Matthew Johnson. Yet another Matt to throw into the queue.

Not sure how the 04's work but in the 05 you can set the AC to AUTO, ON, or Off. Same for the economizer/recirc.

Just so I can add some rice to the thread, Hondata let you set parameters (engine load and/or TPS) that the AC would be temporarily disabled.

Do our ECU's do anything like that?

I believe the ECU shuts off the A/C under load or a certain rpm for the WRX's and STi's.

I believe it is when the ECU switches from closed loop to open loop.

I don't know, though, if it is explicity tied to the switch, or if it happens to occur at the same time w/ stock programming.

Yea, I've heard that too. I have not tried that yet.

I'll test it out during lunchtime.

The ECU in my RS shuts off the compressor at WOT. The air gets warmer when I pass someone

Oh, and HVAC controls, I have some JDM ones for BC Legacy, anyone want them?
