Yeah Matt, I was thinking of moving it too, but I agree it is more of a local thing, though I bet those people in the Rally forum would love to see vids.
That second video is pretty awesome. The videos need to be just a bit longer though.

Not sure how the 04's work but in the 05 you can set the AC to AUTO, ON, or Off. Same for the economizer/recirc.
Just so I can add some rice to the thread, Hondata let you set parameters (engine load and/or TPS) that the AC would be temporarily disabled.
Do our ECU's do anything like that?

I believe it is when the ECU switches from closed loop to open loop.
I don't know, though, if it is explicity tied to the switch, or if it happens to occur at the same time w/ stock programming.
