Issue with Vent (HVAC controls)
I have Subaru H6 3.0 2002 Outback Sedan. The air continues to blow out of my vents even when the system is turned off. It blows either cold or hot air depending upon what climate control setting was used last. When driving thru certain terains, the smells come right into the car.
I have taken it into different Subaru dealers and they say that everything is working fine and that it may be a design flaw.
Does any one else have this issue? If so, please respond.

Have you tried setting the air intake to recycled? Yes, my Impreza does the same as do many other makes of cars. It is just that the air passes through the heater core with the air set on fresh. Try setting the fan to off and the air on recycle and you can feel the flow stop. Just don't leave it on recycled as your windows will fog up in the cold.
