question about wireless

i would ask nasioc, but im banned, again.

anyway, i have a wireless card for my pc. note: its a desktop not a laptop. it has an antenna that sticks out the back to collect signal. well, i dont get very good signal so i was wondering since the antenna screws into the card could i get a cable that has the same threads and somehow transmits the signal the antenna outputs. if i can do this i could have the antenna somewhere where it gets good signal and the cable would just run between rooms or whatever. so does anyone know of a cable that can do this?

I have seen remote antennas for desktops. Can't say if your specific card will have an adapter for that, but you can definitely get one.

You can buy a directional antenna (normally used for "wardriving") that would allow you to aim the antenna at the access point and pick up a better signal. For example, you could use a Pringles can to make a directional antenna.
