yep, 3 miles every day to work and 10-20 on weekends......ill put about 15 on it going to today's meet

well i do give her a thorough beating every now and then..(for example tonight) so i just stick with a good oil.....the difference in price is really not significant enough for me to switch to a cheap oil......

Not entirely true. I doubt that your engine gets fully warmed-up all the time on your 3-mile commute, and that can cause a build-up of condensation, sludge, and acid caused by combustion gases in your crankcase.
Unless your car is a track queen, if you have to change your oil based on time rather than mileage, I don't think your really getting your money's worth buy using Mobil 1.

sludge - on new oil??
Combustion gases - only if he has bad rings and getting excessive blow-by. If so, then he has larger issues
don't believe the 3 month hype
