Open Port 2.0

Does anyone local have any experience with these? The documentation is sparse... I've done everything I think I should have done but I'm getting an incorrect ECU flash voltage (12.62v or something)

Just spent $180 on this thing and haven't been able to do anything but grab the stock map off of my ECU and view it....

i'm assuming you're trying to flash a rom to ur ecu; make 100% sure that both the green and white connectors are making good contact. the white one is tricky.

also get the older version of ecuflash, if you can find it. if not i might have it on my tuning laptop somewhere.

You don't need any older version of ecuflash.

And you are an 03 so you use the 03/05 test connector. - Make sure the test connector is attached or you wont be flashing anything..

And before you flash anything - it sounds like you need to read up a bit more. Opensource flashing via the tactrix cable has the most online support available of ANY tuning tool.

Start here - and read it ALL.

yeah true; wanted to start a process of elimination. the 02/03 ecu's are similar.i've never had issues with either openport version on any version of ecuflash, except with v1.42.

+1 on not flashing anything before you're absolutely sure what ure doing. there is massive wealth of information on tuning with tactrix (opensource). follow the link bouncer posted and read till ur eyes bleed...then read some more (especially if you've never tuned before..last thing u wanna do is blow ur engine).

I have been reading a LOT up on this before I attempted a flash, there is no information about the high voltage error I was having. Plenty of info about low voltages caused by not connecting connectors, but none about high.

Both connectors were connected, everything was set up fine.

I have no idea what the problem was, but I downloaded the BETA software/drivers/firmware, did a test flash, everything checked out.

Flashed my new ROM on with beta version, everything seems to be working fine. I've been doing a lot of data logging using the OpenPort's built in SDCard logger and Airboy's spreadsheet. I compared before (stock map) /after HP/TQ calculated numbers and it's definitely an increase.

The map I'm running is an XPT Stage 1 base map, if anyone was wondering.

So long story short, problem was caused by EcuFlash software.
