Funny Story
This is not my own, but a close friend's of mine. thought I'd share.
A good friend of mine lives in Natomas right off of Northgate (opposite side of fry's). He runs a body shop so he has a bunch of cars that he drives, fixes and sells but for some reason, he hasn't been able to part with his little 99 Miata. He's incredibly cautious about his Miata and the fact that he lives in a tough neighborhood, doesn't make his situation any better.
In the middle of the night, about 5am, his little yapping chihuahua mutt stars running his mouth in his bedroom upstairs. He looks out the window and there are two guys inside of his car making a bunch of noise. lol, he said he tried to jump on them from the second floor but being that he 55 years old, he decided to just run out and try catching them. he grabs his son and a baseball bat and runs after the two clowns. unfortunately, as soon as the two hear his door open, they scatter. He said hes never seen anyone run that fast before. after a very brief chase, they get away...
they cut open his brand new,recently purchased, soft top. He has a decent deck so that's what the culprits were after. fortunately for him, he hooked that thing up proper so stealing it would be rather difficult.
Here's where it gets interesting.
Being that his kid had to wake up for coolege in half an hour, they decided to just stay up and start breakfast when, all of a sudden, his rat-of-a-dog starts yappin away again. He looks outside and the two ****** are back in his car again, trying to swipe his stereo!!! He grabs the baseball bat and runs out once again, hoping that this time, he will be a little more successful in hurting AT-LEAST one of them. He and his son open the door a little quieter and run out. Sure enough, as soon as they saw them cut around the corner of his house, they take off again but this time not to efficiently. His sons sees that there's no way he will catch them, so he Frisbee's the bat at the guy who was in the driver seat. Just as soon as the guy tried to jump the waste high metal fence that divides his and his neighbors house, the baseball bat bounces off the ground and hits the guy in the back of the leg. This causing him to lose his balance, catching his pant leg on the top of the fence, toppling him face first into the neighbors cement floor! The guys looses it, and starts rabidly running in a different direction, obviously scurried by the face plant. This made catching the guy incredibly easy being that he practically ran right to them lol. When they pinned him down, they realized it was just a 16 year old Mexican kid. He said he face was already so messed up he actually felt sorry for him. After giving him a nice threatening tussle, he took him inside and cleaned the guy up, gave him some money and sent him away.
He's got heart I tell ya. I don't know if i would have been that easy minded about the break in. Sometimes kindness goes a long way.
He laughs about it now and gets made fun of for not doing more damage to the kid, but i really admire his temperament.

thats not a great neighborhood but i wouldn't call it "Tough"... a bad day in that part of town is a good day in richmond.

i woulda gotten the kid to narc on his friends then scare the **** outa them before letting him go, you know, to make sure it doesnt hppen again

to be honest, i doubt the kid would change.
as stated before, it takes a strong character to did what he did. i definitely would be raged with anger. i wouldnt do anything over the top, but i would get the police involved and getting my car fixed. and i DEFINITELY wouldnt be giving the kid some of my money.
and not to hate or anything but i never knew yapping chihuahuas were useful lol.

haha. Hello vladi, no i have not. I loved my build till it went wrong so i decided to wait till i find a nice 94-97 and start all over. swap everything out of my tenth anni into the new one. i just really want obd I. I didnt know you still had a wrx?

that takes character i would have been so pissed at that kid i probably would have beat him up and then probably would have gone to jail because is no exactly legal to beet up a 16 year old kid
