I've decided to alter my strategy from buying a cool car (RS coupes) and hoping to someday get a sweet engine in it, to buying a sweet drivetrain and sticking it in disposable chassis, so that the next time I get hit by some idiot I can just swap to the next one.

what's the average cost of 5 quarts of royal purple + filter (let's say K&N for argument's sake) vs. 5 quarts of redline + filter (again, K&N)?
i read a dyno tune article in D Sport where they took a brand new Dodge Ram with a Cummins turbo diesel, changed the oil to royal purple, and gained like 2 hp!

actually, if i remember, my manual said something like 4.3 quarts, but i always put 4.5 in anyway. seriously, who wants to sit there and measure .3 quarts of oil?
