I think mine will be dead soon too Throwout bearing is almost gone, clutch is going, the tranny just does not feel happy...

I disagree. Mine held up to my ham-fistedness for 100,000 miles. And ~70,000 of that was with an Exedy clutch and flywheel.

Was it a single plate? Because the Exedy Single plates don't exactly grab very hard... Ask Mark about this haha, he made one explode on it's second pass down the track!! , but ya as long as you don't beat the crap out of a regular wrx tranny(i.e. side step clutch drops/slamming it through gears) it should last you.

Just the organic street upgrade with a 12 pound flywheel. And it was an RS tranny, which actually is MORE stressed in 1st and 2nd gear. Same torque, lower gearing.
