Yeah i dont know what thats all about. I posted from my blackberry so that might have soemthing to do with it.

So its official guys im shipping out 20070116 but i found out some amazing news. So i thought i had a 11 week basic and a 14 week AIT. Well basic is only 9 weeks and i found out that since im 21 Bravo (combat engineer) im part of the infantry so i AIT with my basic unit. So that means i only have a 14 week basic and AIT!!!! Basically 9 week basic and 5 week AIT.

Pretty excited about that one!

 

not bad..i haven't driven my car in like 6 months....but it comes out next week

 

Coming from someone who is also in the Army, be thankful you're not going to be away for it for a year or more in the sandbox. Being completely honest, sell it. It's a pain in the *** and a waste of money if you aren't using it.

 

Iregul8NSTI - yeah I am 99% sure ill never see the sandbox. By the time I'm deployable we should be out of Iraq.

I don't want to sell the STI because it wull only sit for 14 weeks while I'm at basic and ait then ill be back to druve it

 

You're going to be a combat engineer........and you don't plan on going? How is that possible? If 88M are doing foot patrols in Sadr City I'd say you've got a shot. Seriously, I think everyone gets a turn there now.

 

I'm in college first and rotc. The army can not touch me until I graduate college. So they can't touch me for another three years. I highly doubt we will still (in Iraq in three years.

You're forgetting that the next presidential election is in '08.

I would because it specifically states in my contract that i am enrolled in the college first program and ROTC and that i am protected by contract from being deployed for four years or until i recieve my bachlors, which ever comes first.

Therefor if they were to deploy me before 4 years were up or i had my bachlors, that would be a breach of contract which in punishable by law and a instant void of the contract.

Well yeah i defiantly dont disagree with that, if we are not in Iraq we sure as hell will be in N Korea.
