How can they get a flatbed running out front of someone's house and not wake up? Those diesels are pretty damn loud.

Could have used a repo truck with a stinger lift. Back right up, hook the wheels and drive off. They never have to get out of the truck.

Even so. I assume those thins have hefty Diesels and have the back-up 'beep'. I'm just wondering if that would be possible to do in a residential neighborhood in the middle of the night with no one waking up.

Does it happen in parking lots often?

They did it to my "illegally" parked Legacy. They just lift up the other end and put a dolly under it. the dolly is stored right under the crane "neck".

that was a big scam going on in the area for awhile. Tow companies were driving around and towing people, claiming they were illegally parked. One company finally got busted when they tried to get money on the side from one the the owners of the car they towed. On the STI, I'll be looking out for it, sorry to hear about it bro, you're insured right?

Any ideas on a replacement vehicle?

I think it was flatbedded or taken away by one of those repo-type trucks with a dolly underneath one pair of wheels.

My bedroom is in the back of the house and a sleep like a log anyway. My roommate and neighbors didn't hear anything either.

There was no broken glass on the ground.

So what should I get as a replacement???? I'm in a Nissan Maxima as a rental, and that car is a DOG!
