My 05 Sti Was Stolen!!!

Dude, I come out of my house and the driveway is empty.

Keep your eyes open for me and email me if you see my car!!

Platinum silver metallic, very dark tinted windows all around, Marine Corps sticker on left bottom corner of rear glass. Stolen from Chatsworth, CA.

Thanks.

Are STi's easily stolen?

Anybody know of any stolen STi's? So much for the factory alarm and engine immobilizer. Didn't immobilize ****.

U have an autolock? I know that the factory alarm isn't that much of a deterrent.

the 05's have an engine immobilizer, whatever that is. i guess it doesn't matter if they flatbed your car away though.

Did go to the dealer, but I'm not missing any keys. Why do you ask if I've been to the dealer?

Yeah, your AP don't mean jack if they jimmy into your car, throw it into neutral and haul it onto a flatbed. Looks like that's what they did with my car.

What if someone made a copy of your key while it was being serviced?

They'd need to marry the new key with the ECU for that to work. Not impossible though.

Probably just flatbeded it out.

Mercedes Benz Key =/= Subaru Key.

MB cars (within the last couple of years, depending on the model) are preprogramed with every key they will ever have. If you loose all of the keys ( I thinkn it's like 20 or so) then you have to replace a lot of $tuff.

Also nice to know that MB has "Shop" keys. They don't need yours.

Subarus with the imobilizer key just need to have the dealer tell the ECU and imobilzer controller about a new key.
