Mustang GT 500

Saw one the other day, had to stop and take some pics. Sorry they're crappy, I had to use my camera phone.

They look good. I'd contimplate one if they weren't priced to close to the vette.

the motor is a great "idea"... lets see if it holds together better then the first generation version of it did in the ford GT... if it does hold together i will give that car a little more props then i do now(which is basically zero). but the fact that everyone who owns a ford gt slogan is "The car is amazing... when it runs"... is not my ideal car haha and how jeremy clarkson said he can drive TO a place, but can't make it back with his ford gt lol

UMMM... the GT500's run a solid axle. They're not IRS. Yes, they are way too heavy, but have the power to make up for it. You just have to respect a bolt-on 10 second street car. I'd buy one if I had the coin.

10 Second? You mean more like a 12.8 (according to R&T). 10 sec. maybe with the Roush blower. A stock Corvette Z51 has a better 60 time, by a tenth.

For S***'s and Giggles:
Times and speed:
Car........60MPH........1/4 mile. . . . . . .Price
Z51..........4.5........12.8 @ 112.5. . . .$44,170
GT500......4.6........12.8 @ 113.2. . . .$40,930
Z06..........3.6........12.0 @ 121.0. . . .$64,890

Read what I stated, please... 10 second BOLT ON car. And besides, what I really meant to say was 9 second car.

http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...9000e17ccb.htm

I rest my case.

I won't bag on you for your personal preference.

Did you catch that video I posted yet? That car is ridiculous... CAI, pulley, full exhaust, and a custom tune: 10.46... add a 75 shot of spray and you've got high 9's. It'll really be amazing when they strap on the new 2.8 Kenne Bell. I bet it'll run 9's without the spray.

hmm basic bolt ons....

2.6" Pulley... JLT Carbon Fiber CAI... 4.10 Gears.... Stage 1 Steigemeier port... off road x pipe... borla cat back... 4" aluminum drive shaft... bmr suspension... and 325/45 Drag Radials, and tuned with nitrous...

A bone stock zo6 with slicks did 10's, no mods period

this camaro did 10.9's No nitrous... basic bolt ons... as in more basic then the ones u just posted... no power adders while the shelby had TWO
http://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost.p...5&postcount=39

Scott ran 10.8's with basic bolt ons and nitrous through a 6 speed... if i searched harder I could find camaro's in the 9's with stock motor basic bolt ons with nitrous...

am I really suppose to be impressed by that 106k car??

9's are a long ways from high 10's and I'm impressed with anything that runs 10's, let alone 9's. I don't care who makes it. I find it amazing that something that weighs that damn much can move that fast.

BTW, need I remind you that your Camaro was such a great car that they quit making it and are only bringing it back in a couple years because the Mustangs are selling faster than ever. I'm sorry. I like my fast cars without the mullet.

I do believe the reason the Camaro was discontinued was that for a few thousand more then the top of the line SS, you can purchase a Corvette

the car needed to be redesigned to be a lot cheaper then the flagship bowtie performance car.
