The only problem with that is that getting a 4" pipe through the fender will not be an easy task and I want to refrain from cutting up the fender to do so. The plan was to get a CARB sticker from K&N and put it next to the filter . I would also like a nice heat shield around it.

The car is indeed quiet while just driving around the streets, but get anywhere near boost and the turbo/intake make the car sound like a Jet. The exhaust stays fairly quiet even at WOT and the turbo noise just takes over. I'm not sure how many of you have seen the movie Cannonball Run, but the sound of this car really reminds me of the high tech mitsubishi car from that movie. From the passenger's seat with the window down, the turbo noise gets so high pitched at full boost that it actually starts to hurt your ears .

BTW... the fact that the car is all black and all you can hear are sucking air noises is what led to the name "Project Vader"

As the lucky owner of Ed's latest creation, i can only say "holy f*(&in mary in heaven". I ride a superbike on a daily basis, and the response/acceleration/handling on this sti is getting close to motorcycle territory - which is no small feat. AND it's stealthy - until you hit the throttle.

Ed + team will be adding more enhancements and of course power. This is just the beginning ;-)

thanks for all the great comments and suggestions - yes, my baby will be at the EQ/Crucial display at Hammy this weekend.

Ed + team, you guys rock! keep up the quality work.

cheers,

a guy with a perpetually frozen smile on his face since he got the car back from Ed

Subaru hatchback four-wheel-drive. In an early scene the two Japanese
characters are driving at night. They put on spectacles which glow a silly
red and make them look bug-eyed. They are giggling and ribbing each other
and jabbering in pseudo-Japanese. A subtitle says "This infrared is the
cat's meow". Another subtitle says "Kill the lights". From afar, their
headlights are shown going off and the car can be heard zipping through the
darkness (it makes a quirky robotic buzzing sound rather than sounding like
a real car). They see a roughly-rendered red image of the road ahead.
Superimposed in heads-up-display-style is a speedometer (indicating 110)
and a status-box reading ROAD CLEAR (why doesn't it read in Japanese?).

In a later scene, two cops are lounging in their patrol car by the side of
the road. The first says, "George, remember the good old days before they
got radar in, we used to chase speeders?" And the other replies, "Yeah,
this is really boring". The scene shifts to the Subaru, where our bug-eyed
friends are surprised when their warning system goes off. The cop car is
highlighted in blinking red on their display, and their status-box reads
ENEMY. They point and jabber excitedly. The subtitle reads, "I'll be
damned, a Kojak with a Kodak!" As they pass by they shout, "Sayonara!
bye-bye!" The cops are startled as the car rips by invisibly. The first
cop asks, "What the hell was that?", and the other replies, "I dunno but
whatever it was it was doing 125!"
lol

It looks like a Subaru to me. Maybe we should ask Jackie Chan.

haha... shame on me. I hadn't seen that movie in a long time and for some reason I remembered it as a mitsu. Well even better then... Vader sounds very much like that Subaru.

Haha... I know some people think I have a death wish with all the road tuning I do, but that sounds a bit excessive
