Looking at one of my logs. I have a range from 115 to 133. I recall the ambient was something like 95. So, 20-38 delta.

The log doesn't have coolant. I recall that getting upwards of 230. Everything was hot.

 

That's a large delta. Also 230 is near HG failure hot.
I'm done wasting time. We can re-visit this silly conversation in a few months when you inevitably need a rebuild.

 

I can't imagine a CAI having a much better delta in the same conditions.

And, Yes. 230 is my GTFO temp.

 

How can you say that seriously after Sybir just posted about ambient air temps...

I can say that when im driving the STi, the AP shows intake air temp within 5 degrees of outside.

On the street, I think my delta is something like 9. I'm not usually critical about what's going on on the street. What happens on the street has little bearing on what happens at the track.

I don't know how many times I have to keep telling you ****ers, I don't care about what's going on on the street. I care about what happens at the track.
