OK... is there a place I can see what tire is better other than just the traction and treadwear grades? Hopefully with a summer only street use bias. maybe a massive shootout or something.

GRM did a nice comparo of RT615s, Yoko AD07s and RE01Rs IIRC. Other than that, get a pile of salt and read Tire Rack reviews.
