It used to be tickets/fines. Last I heard it was jail

There was a bad storm last Feb that took part of the trail out and apparently people who were on the top side of the trail when it happened, were stuck up there and had to be air lifted out.


They wanna spend $5 million+ to tear it down... or just spend that money on maintenance and charge people to hike it and sign liability waivers..

Charging people would keep the amount of foot traffic down and generate revenue.
