I will say this. If you don't know how to do it, you don't know enough about the transmission and axle setup, and it would be a horrible idea for you to try. It's non-reversible, and requires modifying a few parts very carefully to do it right.
Why do you want to make the car RWD?

I said it involved modding a number of parts and was non-reversible without new parts. You've also got issues on the front end if you don't do the job the right way (which you wouldn't have issues with since you don't have a Subaru front end.......)
What I was saying is that if he has to ask, he doesn't understand enough aobut the process to know how much you have to change the car.

well... what you can do if you were keeping it in a wrx...
you buy an extra center diff... its 75bux at rancho suby.
rip it apart, weld the spline to the top hat. weld the tophat to the case.
bam RWD center diff.
keep stock on for those rainy months. have fun with blowing your stock wrx rear diff. upgrade to STi or 300zx rear diff.
bam...rwd fun for long amounts of time.
you can leave the front driveshafts in, and just swap the diffs out from time to time. just keep a thing of toyota FIPG or hondabond around.

mah bad for coming off as callin you out mr sybir...but i'm used to the wonderful-ness of nabisco cause they flamed me up and down for the truck/wrx. search my screen name over there...it'll show the way things went.

what is an intelligent way to remove the residue left over after removing weather stripping? the stuff is like a super booger. EXTREMELY sticky. i tried some random cleaners to no avail.
